Previously: When Victoria poured boiling water and roses over her elderly maid, she thought she was untouchable. But the family doctor stepped in, exposing a deadly secret that ruined her forever.

The Confrontation of Truth

For a moment, the only sound in the grand foyer was the heavy breathing of Dr. Julian Vance and the soft, pitiful whimpering of Clara. Victoria lay among the ruined marble pieces, her face contorted in a mixture of shock and pure rage. Her scarlet dress was dusty, and her platinum-blonde hair was disheveled.

"You touched me," Victoria whispered, her voice rising to a screech. "You are just a hired doctor! I will have you stripped of your license! I will ruin you and this pathetic old maid!"

Julian didn't flinch. Instead, he walked over to Clara, gently helping the trembling elderly woman to her feet. He pulled a clean handkerchief from his pocket and began to dry her wet face.

"You won't be ruining anyone, Victoria," Julian said, his voice deadly calm. "In fact, your reign of terror in this house ends today."

Victoria scrambled to her feet, brushing off the marble dust. "Do you know who I am? My husband, Arthur, owns this entire estate. He will have you thrown in jail by sunset!"

"Arthur won't be doing anything you command anymore," Julian retorted, pulling a sealed manila envelope from his lab coat. "Because he finally knows what you've been doing to him."

Clara gasped, clutching Julian’s arm. "Dr. Julian, please... she will hurt you."

"She can't hurt anyone anymore, Clara," Julian reassured her. He turned his gaze back to Victoria, holding up the envelope. "These are the toxicology reports from Arthur's blood work. For months, you've been claiming his failing health was due to a degenerative disease. But the lab found high concentrations of a rare, slow-acting toxin."

Victoria’s face drained of color, her arrogant posture suddenly faltering.

"And that red spill on the floor?" Julian pointed to the puddle Clara had been cleaning. "That wasn't just hibiscus tea. Clara realized you had laced Arthur's morning brew with the poison. She spilled it intentionally to save his life. You didn't attack her because she was clumsy, Victoria. You attacked her because she caught you trying to murder your husband."
