“I bought the diner, Clara,” Jack smiled, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “And as the new owner, my first official act is to promote you to general manager and co-owner. You’ll have full creative control, a salary you actually deserve, and the power to run it with the heart you’ve always shown.”
Clara wept tears of pure joy, overwhelmed by the incredible turn of events. When she returned to work the next day, she didn’t just walk in as a waitress; she walked in as the boss. Thomas, upon hearing the news, stood in stunned silence, realizing that his cynical attitude had almost cost him his job. However, Clara, true to her nature, chose grace over revenge. She kept Thomas on, but made sure he understood that every customer, no matter how they looked, deserved to be treated with dignity.
