The tension in the tavern snapped. Julian’s open palm swung with explosive force, a wet, cracking sound echoing as it connected with Liam’s weathered cheek. The impact sent Liam’s head snapping sideways, his spectacles dislodging and skittering across the wet floorboards with a metallic clatter. Julian’s voice, breathless with malice, cut through the sudden silence. "Sign the resignation waiver, or I will bury you!" he threatened, the words dripping with the desperation of a man clinging to power. Liam slowly turned his face back towards Julian, his jaw clenching with chilling composure. A single bead of blood formed at the corner of his lip, a stark testament to the violence. But his eyes, clear and piercing, held no fear, only a dawning, terrible understanding.

Behind Julian, unnoticed, a tiny security camera blinked a vivid red. Simultaneously, Julian’s flagship smartphone, resting on a nearby whiskey barrel, buzzed frantically. A global shareholder conference livestream, visible on its screen, showed dozens of horrified board members witnessing the unfolding drama.

Liam’s voice, when it finally came, was a deep, resonant gravel, carrying the weight of generations. "Your father never told you who founded Vance Shipping, did he?" The words hung in the air, striking Julian with the force of a physical blow. His arrogant smirk froze, his pupils contracting in sudden, suffocating panic. The smug confidence evaporated, replaced by a dawning, horrific realization. The tables had turned, and the empire he so carelessly wielded was about to slip through his fingers.
