Bridget’s hands trembled. The diner was everything she had left. It was her home, and the repository of all her memories of her late husband and the children she had helped. "Please, Mr. Vance," she pleaded, her voice shaking. "Just give me one more month. I can find the money."
"No more extensions,"Vance retorted coldly. He handed her a pen.
