Previously: Olivia was cast out onto the cold pavement by her ruthless ex-husband and his new lover, but one phone call to her powerful father changed the entire game.

The Arrival of the Tycoon

The doors of the black SUVs flew open. Out stepped four men in sharp, identical dark suits, but it was the man leading them who made Richard’s face turn instantly pale. Arthur Vance, one of the state's most formidable real estate tycoons and legal minds, stepped onto the pavement. His eyes, cold as flint, locked onto his daughter standing among her scattered clothes.

Arthur didn’t say a word to Richard initially. He walked straight to Olivia, wrapping his heavy wool coat around her shivering shoulders.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?"

he asked, his voice softening only for her. Olivia nodded, leaning into her father's strength.

Richard scrambled down the steps, his smug demeanor evaporating.

"Mr. Vance! I... I didn't expect you. Look, this is a private matter between Olivia and me. The divorce is finalized. She has no right to be on my property."

Arthur turned slowly, his stature dwarfing the younger man. One of the lawyers handed Arthur a thick leather folder.

"Your property, Richard?"

Arthur’s voice was dangerously quiet.

"Let’s talk about this mansion. Let’s talk about the offshore accounts, and let’s talk about the venture capital that funded your entire firm."

Sarah, suddenly looking very small in her green silk dress, clutched Richard's arm.

"Richard, what is he talking about? You said you owned everything."

Arthur smiled, but there was no warmth in it.

"You see, Richard, when you married my daughter, you signed a prenuptial agreement. But more importantly, you signed a business partnership agreement with Vance Industries. The very land this mansion is built on belongs to my family trust. Olivia didn't tell you because she wanted to believe you loved her for her, not her family's wealth."

The lawyers stepped forward, handing Richard a stack of legal documents.

"As of ten minutes ago,"
Arthur continued,
"we have filed for a full audit of your company. And we are exercising our right to reclaim this property immediately."
