Previously: When a wealthy heir publicly humiliated a waitress to amuse his snobbish fiancée, he never expected her to accept his cruel challenge—and completely ruin his life.

A Dance of Revenge

The threat worked. Richard Harrison signaled the security guards to stand down, his eyes burning with silent fury. He whispered to Alex to finish the dance and pay her off quietly to avoid a public scandal. Alex, shaking, offered his hand to Chloe. As the orchestra began to play a dramatic waltz, the former lovers stepped onto the dance floor. The crowd watched in absolute awe as Chloe guided Alex with flawless, professional precision, reminding everyone of the champion dancer she had once been.

While they danced, Alex leaned in, his voice filled with regret.

"Chloe, I'm sorry for what happened back then. I never stopped thinking about you. We can start over,"
he whispered, genuinely captivated by her transformation. But Chloe only smiled coldly. She had no intention of taking him back. As the final notes of the waltz played, she leaned in close to his ear.

"The fifty thousand is just the beginning, Alex," she whispered. "My father's lawyers have finally finished auditing your family's company. The fraud documents are already on the District Attorney's desk."

Alex froze in horror as Chloe pulled away. She walked over to the VIP table, picked up the signed fifty-thousand-dollar check Alex had left there, and held it up for the crowd to see. Sarah screamed in frustration, realizing her perfect engagement had just been ruined, while Richard Harrison frantically checked his phone as the first news alerts of the investigation began to pop up.

Chloe walked out of the ballroom, her head held high, leaving the ruins of the Harrison empire behind her. She had saved her mother and reclaimed her dignity, proving that true class can never be bought or broken. Sometimes, the best way to defeat those who look down on you is to let them dig their own graves with their own arrogance.
