Previously: A brutal foreman pushes a new temp to his limits during a raging tornado, only to discover the temp is far more than he appears. The storm outside is nothing compared to the storm brewing inside.

Justice in the Tempest

The deafening shriek of the tornado siren outside seemed to fade into insignificance compared to the sudden, terrifying silence that fell between Silas and Armand. The foreman's face, moments before a mask of cruel confidence, had drained of all color, replaced by a ghastly pallor. He stared at Silas, his mind struggling to reconcile the image of the meek temp with the undeniable evidence of power and authority now displayed. The foundations of his world were literally shaking, mirroring the violent tremors running through the barn's timbers as the vortex raged closer.

Silas, without breaking eye contact, calmly reached into his inner jacket pocket. He produced a glowing, encrypted satellite terminal. The screen flickered to life, displaying not just weather data, but a real-time board of directors video conference, complete with an automated dismissal termination order scrolling across the bottom. The sheer weight of the revelation crushed Armand. He had been so arrogant, so blinded by his own perceived power, that he had failed to see the true nature of the man he was threatening.

"This is Chief Executive Silas Thorne. Dubois is terminated for cause, stripped of severance, and remanded to federal custody." - Silas Thorne

The words, delivered with lethal executive precision, echoed in the cavernous space. Armand’s trembling fingers lost their grip on the heavy cast-iron wrench. It clattered loudly against the shuddering concrete floor, a final, pathetic surrender. All the bluster, all the threats, all the sadistic entitlement evaporated, leaving behind a quivering, sallow-skinned man on the brink of collapse. The storm outside had found its match in the storm of justice Silas Thorne had unleashed.

With a final, violent roar, the barn's massive sliding door was torn from its rollers, flung into the churning black funnel cloud like a child's toy. Silas effortlessly levered open the reinforced steel storm bunker hatch concealed beneath the floorboards, revealing a dark, safe abyss. He gestured towards it, a silent invitation, before turning a final, merciless gaze upon the cowering foreman. "You locked your trainees out to die for profit, Armand... let's see how your ego holds up against the tornado," Silas stated, his voice devoid of emotion, yet heavy with crushing, absolute finality. Tears of helpless terror welled in Armand's eyes, his sagging chin quivering uncontrollably as the dark vortex roared on the threshold, promising a reckoning far more terrifying than any human threat.
