Previously: When the kingdom's greatest knight failed to draw the legendary sword from the stone, a ragged, forgotten boy stepped forward—and changed the course of history forever.

Borin lunged, his massive broadsword whistling through the air toward Arthur's neck. But as the blade descended, the legendary sword in Arthur’s hand moved almost of its own accord. A barrier of pure, golden light erupted from the ancient steel, parrying Borin’s blow with a deafening crack that sent a shockwave through the canyon. The giant knight was thrown backward, his heavy iron armor crashing hard against the rocky ground.

The True King Rises

Arthur stood firm, the sword humming with protective power. He did not strike back. Instead, he lowered the blade slightly, his eyes filled not with anger, but with a calm, royal authority that silenced the entire canyon. The golden light bathed his face, erasing the dirt and revealing the unmistakable nobility of his lineage.

"I do not seek a kingdom of blood and fear," Arthur said, his voice echoing off the ancient rocks with a strange, magnetic resonance. "I seek to rebuild what was lost. Will you stand with the shadows of the past, or will you walk into the light of a new dawn?"

The knights looked at Borin, who lay groaning on the ground, his weapon shattered into pieces by the divine impact. One by one, the warriors realized the futility of their rebellion. They dropped their swords, sinking to their knees in true, heartfelt allegiance. Even Borin, defeated and humbled by the undeniable magic of the blade, slowly bowed his head in submission.

Arthur looked out over the foggy valley, knowing the road ahead would be filled with dangerous trials and political intrigue. But as he held the sword of his ancestors, he knew he was no longer a forgotten stable boy. He was the rightful king, and he would bring peace to a fractured land.

True strength is not found in the weight of one's armor, but in the purity of the heart that beats beneath it.
