Arthur Vance, a billionaire real estate mogul, stood proudly beside his daughter, Clara. Clara was beautiful, wearing a silk gown, but her eyes were hollow as she sat in her custom silver wheelchair. Ever since the tragic car accident five years ago, she had lost her smile—and the use of her legs.

Suddenly, the heavy oak doors burst open. The music screeched to a halt as a man stepped into the warm golden light. He wore a rugged brown jacket, faded jeans, and had messy black hair that looked like it hadn't seen a comb in days. His name was Thomas. Security rushed toward him, but Thomas bypassed them with a strange, commanding confidence, walking straight toward the VIP table.

"Let me dance with her," Thomas demanded, his voice echoing across the silent hall.

Arthur sneered, stepping in front of his daughter's wheelchair. He adjusted his dark gray tuxedo, looking down at the intruder with pure disgust.

"Do you even know who she is, filthy beggar?" Arthur hissed, loud enough for the entire high-society crowd to hear.

Thomas didn't flinch. He looked past the angry billionaire, locking his intense green eyes onto Clara. Her breath hitched. There was something familiar about him, something she couldn't quite place.

"I know she wants to dance, and I will make it happen," Thomas asserted, his voice steady and filled with conviction.

"Why should I let you get near my daughter?" Arthur angrily asked, his face flushing red as he signaled for more guards.

But Thomas took another step forward, completely unfazed.

"Because I can make her stand,"

he replied. Before anyone could stop him, Thomas bypassed Arthur and knelt directly before Clara. He gently placed his hand near her collarbone, closed his eyes, and commanded,
