Previously: He mocked my humble beginnings, but a storm brought a reckoning. His world shattered as my true identity was revealed, proving that true power comes not from wealth, but from quiet strength and devastating purpose.

The Storm Breaks

Suddenly, the tranquil facade of the terminal was shattered. Blinding red and blue strobe lights erupted through the rain-streaked glass, painting the opulent interior in stark, urgent hues. Four armored black Suburbans breached the tarmac gates, their sirens a distant wail swallowed by the thunder. Six towering Secret Service tactical agents stormed through the glass doors, laser sights painting deadly red dots across the polished floor. Jason Vance’s hand spasmed, his crystal tumbler slipping from his grasp to shatter on the marble, the sound lost in the sudden chaos. His eyes widened, his arrogant sneer dissolving into paralyzed shock. “Director Bennett, Air Force One is taxiing—the President requires your immediate national intelligence briefing!” the Tactical Commander’s voice boomed, a thunderclap of authority that dwarfed Jason’s petty taunts. Jason stood frozen, his jaw slack, cold sweat beading on his pale forehead. Thomas, however, moved with lethal precision. An agent snapped to attention, pinning the gold-crested Director of National Intelligence insignia to his lapel and handing him a biometric encrypted satellite briefcase. Thomas turned his head slowly, his flint-gray eyes narrowing as they met Jason’s terrified gaze. “Revoke Vance Aerospace's defense clearance before my jet reaches cruising altitude,” he stated, his voice a deadpan, ice-cold finality. Jason’s chin quivered, his lower eyelids welling with terrified tears as his chest heaved in silent, asphyxiating horror. His world, built on a foundation of inherited privilege and ruthless ambition, was crumbling around him.
