Previously: When the PTA president humiliates a six-year-old in front of the academy board, her father—a four-star general—arrives with proof that changes everything. But the real shock is still locked in the security footage.

The Security Footage That Nobody Expected to See

Two hours later, the academy's main hall was packed. Parents, teachers, board members—everyone had heard the whispers. The general's daughter. The PTA president. The property title. The footage.

Maria had called an emergency board meeting. She didn't have the authority to do that, but when you're the administrative clerk who knows where all the bodies are buried, you learn to pull strings. And she had been pulling strings for years, watching Camilla Carrington rule the school with an iron fist wrapped in cashmere.

Camilla sat at the head of the table, her composure restored. She had changed out of the crumpled cape, replaced it with a blood-red blazer that screamed power. Her smile was back, too—sharp, predatory.

"This is a waste of everyone's time," she said, her eyes scanning the room. "A misunderstanding with a child. The general overreacted. We all know how soldiers can be."

Harrison stood near the door, Sophie's hand in his. He said nothing. He didn't need to.

Maria stepped forward, her tablet connected to the wall screen. The room dimmed. The first image appeared: Camilla, in the storage room, going through donation envelopes. Her fingers slid a stack of cash into her designer bag.

Murmurs rippled through the crowd.

"That's not footage," Camilla snapped. "That's an old security tape. Anyone could have edited it."

Maria tapped the screen. A timestamp flashed—today, 7:45 AM. The same storage room. Camilla again, this time with a scholarship file. She ripped out the top page, replaced it with a blank form.

The room went silent.

But the worst was yet to come.

Maria switched to a new angle. The boardroom. Sophie, crouching on the floor. Camilla, looming over her. The wallet flying. The cruel words: "Get out of my classroom."

Camilla's face drained of color. Her hands gripped the armrests.

"That's—that's taken out of context," she stammered.

Harrison finally spoke. His voice was low, steady, the voice of a man who had ordered men into battle.

"You stole from children. You forged documents. You humiliated my daughter in front of a witness. And you think 'context' will save you?"

Camilla opened her mouth, but no words came.

Maria pressed another key. The screen flickered. A new file appeared, labeled "Foundation Charter — Amendment 12." The document was dated three years ago, signed by Camilla's lawyer, witnessed by a notary. It transferred sole beneficial ownership of the academy's land to a private holding company—Camilla's company.

The room erupted.

Board members stood, shouting. Parents pulled out phones, recording everything. Camilla shrank in her chair, her perfect hair escaping its waves, her red blazer suddenly looking like a warning sign.

But Harrison wasn't done.

"The title in Maria's hand," he said, "is the original. The one you forged? It was never filed. The land belongs to the school. The school belongs to the children. And you, Camilla, belong in handcuffs."

Camilla's eyes darted to the exit. But two academy security guards had already positioned themselves by the doors.

Sophie tugged her father's sleeve. "Daddy, is she going to jail?"

Harrison knelt down, his medals clinking softly. "She's going to answer for what she did. That's what matters."

But there was one more thing. Maria held up the tablet, the footage still playing. The camera had caught something else—a second figure, half-hidden in the shadows of the boardroom. A man in a dark suit, watching through the window.

Harrison's eyes narrowed. "Who is that?"

Maria zoomed in. The man's face was partially obscured, but his posture was familiar. Military. Rigid.

Camilla let out a strangled laugh. "That's your problem, General. You don't know who your enemies are."

The screen froze. The room held its breath.

And then Harrison's phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number: "We need to talk. Before the board votes. You're not the only one with secrets."
