A Groom Accused My Daughter of Theft, but CCTV Exposed His True Colors
Clara's heart shattered as she ran down the aisle of the grand ballroom. The soft, classical music was still playing, but the scene on the white carpet runner was pure chaos. Her eight-year-old daughter, Maya, was kneeling on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. A small trickle of dark red blood dripped from Maya's forehead, staining the pristine white fabric below. Next to her lay a heavy, leather-bound family ledger, its pages slightly torn. Clara fell to her knees, her emerald green gown pooling around her as she pulled Maya into a tight, protective embrace.
"Mommy," Maya whimpered, her tiny hands clutching Clara's dress. Before Clara could even ask what happened, a shadow fell over them. It was Julian, the groom, standing tall in his custom black tuxedo, his face twisted in disgust. Beside him stood his grandmother, Eleanor, looking on with cold indifference. Julian sneered down at the sobbing child.
"That's what happens when you raise a thief,"
he said, his voice dripping with venom. Maya shook her head wildly against Clara's chest.
"I didn't take it, I promise,"
she sobbed, her voice cracking. Clara's protective instincts flared into absolute rage. She looked at the blood on her daughter's forehead, then at the heavy ledger, and finally up at Julian. That was when she noticed the small black dome of a security camera mounted directly on the vaulted ceiling, pointing right at the altar. Clara stood up slowly, her eyes locking onto Julian's smug face.
"You should have checked the CCTV..."
she whispered, her voice deadly calm as she stepped closer to him,
"...before you touched my daughter."
Within a second, Julian’s arrogant smirk evaporated, replaced by a sudden, pale look of sheer shock.
