Previously: When Jack stopped his own wedding to confront his bride Sophia and her bridesmaid Evelyn, the cathedral erupted into chaos. But the dark truth behind his fury left the entire congregation breathless.

The Darkest Confession

The elegant sanctuary descended into utter bedlam. Guests shrieked, some rushing forward to intervene, while others cowered in the pews. Jack stood over Sophia, his chest heaving, tears of betrayal streaming down his face. He didn't run. Instead, he walked over to the altar's microphone, plugged his phone into the cathedral's sound system, and pressed play.

The entire congregation froze as Sophia’s voice echoed through the high arches of the church.

'If we keep giving her the digitalis, the doctors will just think it’s her heart failing,'
Sophia’s recorded voice said, cold and devoid of empathy. Then came Evelyn’s reply:
'Exactly. Once Jack inherits the estate, we’ll make sure he signs the power of attorney over to you. He’s too blind to see what we're doing.'

The silence that followed was deafening. Sophia’s own parents stared at their daughter in absolute horror, their faces turning pale. Sophia, clutching her bruised jaw on the floor, tried to speak, but no words came out. Evelyn sat frozen, the realization of her ruined life sinking in.

Within seconds, the heavy oak doors of the cathedral burst open. But it wasn't just security—it was the police. Jack had forwarded the evidence to the local precinct just moments before the physical confrontation began. 'Arrest them,' Jack said, his voice cracking with emotion as he pointed at his bride and her sister. 'They murdered my mother.'
