Previously: When a ruthless groom accused seven-year-old Sophie of stealing a priceless family heirloom, Rachel refused to back down. One look at the security footage changed everything, exposing a dark wedding-day trap.

The Truth on the Screen

A heavy silence fell over the ballroom. Gabriel’s face paled, the color draining from his cheeks as he glanced up at the small black dome of the security camera. He quickly tried to regain his composure, stepping forward to block Rachel’s path.

"Don't be ridiculous, Rachel," Gabriel hissed, his voice trembling slightly. "There's no need to make a scene and ruin my wedding. The girl has the diamond bracelet in her pocket. It’s an open-and-shut case."

But Rachel was already moving toward the DJ booth, where the venue manager stood, wide-eyed. "Put the live feed from camera four on the projector screens," Rachel commanded, her voice leaving no room for argument. "Now."

Eleanor stepped forward, her voice shrill. "This is highly inappropriate! Security, escort this woman and her delinquent child out of here!"

However, the venue manager, horrified by the sight of the bleeding child, complied. With a few clicks, the giant projection screens behind the altar flickered to life, displaying the crystal-clear footage from just ten minutes prior.

The guests gasped as the video played. The screen showed young Sophie standing quietly by the guestbook, admiring the floral arrangements. Suddenly, Gabriel approached her. The footage clearly captured Gabriel grabbing Sophie roughly by the arm, accusing her of touching his mother's antique diamond bracelet. When Sophie pulled back in fear, Gabriel shoved her. The little girl fell backward, her forehead striking the sharp corner of the wooden guestbook stand.

But the most damning moment was yet to come. As Sophie lay crying on the floor, the camera zoomed in as Gabriel reached into his own tuxedo pocket, pulled out the diamond bracelet, and deliberately slipped it into the pocket of Sophie's small jacket.
