He Came Home Early and Found His Daughter Kneeling in a Maid Uniform
Previously: When Thomas returned home early from his business trip, he expected a warm welcome. Instead, he found his beloved daughter Chloe on her knees, sobbing and scrubbing the floors under his new wife's cruel watch.
The Ultimate Reckoning
A cold, triumphant smile slowly spread across Thomas's face, catching Eleanor completely off guard. He reached into his charcoal suit jacket and pulled out a sleek folder, tossing it onto the marble table near the entrance. The sound echoed sharply in the silent hall.
"You think your family's connections are keeping me afloat?" Thomas said, his voice ringing with absolute authority. "I just finalized the merger with the Vance Group this morning. I don't need your family's money, Eleanor. In fact, I am now the majority shareholder of the very firm your father runs."
Eleanor’s face drained of color. She stared at the folder, her hands beginning to shake. Thomas took a step closer, his eyes burning with resolve.
"Furthermore," Thomas continued, "you seem to have forgotten the strict prenuptial agreement you signed. Any form of abuse or misconduct toward my daughter nullifies your claim to a single penny of my estate. I have security cameras in this hall, Eleanor. I saw everything on my phone before I even walked through those doors."
Realizing she had lost everything, Eleanor opened her mouth to plead, but Thomas cut her off with a single, sharp gesture. He pointed directly to the heavy double doors.
"Get out of my house," Thomas ordered. "My lawyers will deliver the divorce papers by tomorrow morning. If you ever come near my daughter again, I will ensure you spend the rest of your life behind bars."
Without another word, Eleanor grabbed her designer purse and fled into the cold afternoon, her heels clicking frantically against the marble she had forced Chloe to clean. Once the doors slammed shut, Thomas rushed to his daughter's side, pulling her into a tight, protective embrace.
He knelt on the very floor she had been scrubbing, whispering promises of safety and love. True family is built on protection and trust, and no amount of wealth is worth sacrificing the safety of those we love.
