Eleanor's eyes widened in sudden terror as Thomas continued. "I didn't just cancel our wedding when I made that phone call," he explained. As we speak, your father’s assets are being frozen, and his board seat is gone."

Before Eleanor could even process the words, the heavy front doors opened again. Two uniformed security guards stepped into the foyer. Thomas looked at them and nodded. "Please escort this trespasser off my property. She is no longer welcome here." Realizing she had lost everything, Eleanor was led away in tears, her threats turning into pathetic pleas for forgiveness.

Thomas turned to Chloe, pulling her into a warm, protective embrace. "You are safe now," he promised her. "From this day on, you will never have to scrub another floor, and no one will ever look down on you again." Chloe cried tears of relief, knowing she finally had a real family who would protect her at all costs.
