Previously: When Colt challenged Jolene to sing in front of a packed rodeo arena to win his heart back, he had no idea of the devastating sacrifice she made years ago to save him.

Colt looked at the paper in his father’s hand, then turned his gaze to Jolene. The silence in the arena was absolute, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife. Silas smirked, confident in his absolute power. But Colt’s expression didn't show fear; instead, a slow, knowing smile spread across his face. He stepped forward and snatched the document from his father's grasp.

A New Legacy

Without a word, Colt ripped the paper in half, then into quarters, letting the white scraps flutter down into the dirt of the arena. Silas gasped in horror.

'You think you still control me, Dad?' Colt said, his voice carrying clearly through the microphone. 'I found grandfather’s original will months ago. The ranch was never yours to take away. It was legally transferred to me on my twenty-fifth birthday. You have no power here anymore.'

Silas stumbled back, his face turning pale as he realized his empire of fear had crumbled. The security guards stepped away, leaving the older man standing alone in his defeat. Colt turned his back on his father, completely ignoring his spluttered protests. He walked back to Jolene, his eyes shining with a warmth she hadn't seen in three long years.

'I never stopped loving you, Jolene,' Colt whispered, pulling her into his arms. The crowd erupted into a frenzy of cheers as they shared a passionate, long-overdue embrace. Jolene cried tears of pure joy, knowing that the shadow of the past was finally gone. They had lost years to lies and greed, but their love had survived the storm, proving that true devotion can never be bought or broken.

The End
