Previously: A factory foreman thought he could bully his way through life, until he met the new CEO at a swanky gala. His world was about to shatter with a single, devastating revelation.

Justice Served

Damian Knox collapsed fully onto both knees on the wet-reflective marble floor. His hands, moments ago so aggressive, now clawed desperately at the polished titanium badge resting on his chest. The name and title emblazoned upon it – Ruth Sterling, Global CEO – seemed to mock him, searing his already shattered ego. His shoulders shuddered, not with anger, but with the sheer psychic collapse of his world. The realization that he had not only threatened but physically assaulted his new boss, in front of the company’s most important stakeholders, was crushing him.

"M-Madam Sterling... forgive me... please have mercy..."

His voice, once booming with arrogance, was now a broken, whimpering stammer. His lip trembled uncontrollably as he pleaded, his eyes darting around in a final, desperate search for an escape that wasn’t there. At that moment, two burly corporate security guards, dressed in impeccable tailored tuxedos, materialized beside Ruth. They moved with synchronized precision, executing a deep, respectful bow towards her, their presence a silent confirmation of her absolute authority. Ruth Sterling stood tall, her expression unyielding, her steel-blue eyes fixed on Damian with glacial disdain. There was no pity, only regal disgust for the man who had abused his power and threatened the safety of others.

"No mercy. You're terminated, Damian. And federal marshals are waiting for you in the lobby."

Her voice was cold, devastatingly final. The words echoed in the stunned silence of the ballroom, sealing Damian’s fate. He slumped against the marble floor, his humiliation complete, weeping openly as the weight of his actions finally crushed him. The flashing lights of the lightning outside seemed to punctuate her pronouncement. Ruth turned away, the crystal chandeliers sparkling like a radiant halo above her head, her gaze resolute. The era of Damian Knox’s reign of intimidation and negligence was over. Justice, delivered with ruthless corporate efficiency, had arrived in the most unexpected of settings. The message was clear: power, when abused, would always face its reckoning.

The End
