Previously: When Clara slipped on a wet sidewalk, a group of men mocked her. But a kind stranger stepped in to help—and set off a chain of events that changed everything.

The Ultimate Corporate Karma

Clara gripped her portfolio tightly, refusing to let Logan see her tremble.

"I am here for the senior designer position,"
she said firmly. Logan laughed, a cold and dismissive sound.
"Please. Knox Enterprises has a reputation to uphold. We don't hire clumsy people who look like they rolled out of a puddle. Your interview is over before it even started."

Before Clara could reply, the boardroom door swung open. A man stepped into the room, dressed in an immaculate three-piece suit. Logan instantly jumped to his feet, his arrogant posture melting into groveling submission.

"Mr. Knox! Welcome,"
Logan stammered, gesturing toward Clara.
"I was just letting this candidate know she isn't a fit for our corporate culture."

But the man in the suit didn't look at Logan. He walked straight over to Clara, a familiar, warm smile on his face. It was Brandon. "I believe she is the perfect fit," Brandon said, his voice echoing in the quiet room. Logan's jaw dropped as he realized the man he had ignored on the street was the billionaire founder and CEO of the company.

Brandon turned his sharp gaze onto Logan.

"Earlier today, I asked you if that was how you treat people,"
Brandon said coldly.
"At Knox Enterprises, empathy and integrity are our core values. You have neither. You're fired, Logan. Pack your things immediately."
Stunned and speechless, Logan could only nod numbly before slinking out of the room in utter disgrace.

Brandon turned back to Clara, offering her a chair. "Now, Clara," he said with a smile, "let's talk about your brilliant portfolio." By the end of the afternoon, Clara had not only landed her dream job, but she had also learned that true kindness always finds a way to triumph over cruelty.
