He Ordered Me to Get Him Coffee, Unaware of Who Was Watching the Feed
Previously: When General Arthur tried to humiliate Lieutenant Sarah Miller in front of the entire briefing room, he thought he was teaching a lesson. Instead, he triggered a chain of events that cost him everything.
Justice Served
Arthur immediately tried to salvage the situation, offering a crisp salute. "Mr. Secretary, I was just handling a minor disciplinary issue with this insubordinate officer," Arthur stammered, his voice suddenly lacking its usual thunder.
The Secretary of Defense ignored Arthur entirely. He walked past him and stood in front of Sarah, his eyes filled with concern.

"Are you alright, Sarah?" he asked quietly.
Arthur gasped, looking between the two of them as the realization hit him like a physical blow. They shared the same last name because Sarah was his daughter. She had enlisted under her mother’s maiden name to ensure she was judged solely on her merits, not her family connections.
Sarah offered a brief nod to her father. "I'm fine, sir," she said, detaching the insignia pin from her uniform. "But I believe the General's conduct warrants your immediate attention."
She handed the pin to General Harrison, who plugged it into the desk computer. The video played on the large monitor, showing Arthur’s aggressive outburst and his demeaning remarks in crystal-clear quality. The silence in the room was absolute as the recording finished.
The Secretary of Defense turned to Arthur, his expression colder than ice. "Your thirty years of service will not save you from the consequences of this behavior, Arthur. You are relieved of duty, effective immediately, pending a full court-martial."
Arthur was escorted from the room, his career ruined in a matter of minutes. Sarah went on to lead her division, earning the respect of her peers through her intelligence and bravery, not her last name. She had proven that true strength does not come from bullying others, but from standing firm in the face of injustice.
