Previously: Irene slammed the fake DNA report, but seven-year-old Aria had a secret hidden in her mother's music box. One sealed envelope changed everything forever.

The Final Card Was Played — And It Was More Dangerous Than Anyone Knew

They flew back to New York that night, Marco sitting beside Aria, their hands intertwined. The boy had been silent for most of the journey, but as the city lights appeared on the horizon, he finally spoke.

"Irene said she would destroy you if I ever told you the truth," Marco said, his voice low. "She made me memorize a number. A bank account in the Caymans. She said it was my inheritance, but that I had to earn it by lying."

Roman looked at him. "What did she make you lie about?"

Marco swallowed. "She made me say that I knew about the fake DNA test. That I was in on it. But I didn't know. I swear."

Roman pulled him close. "I believe you."

When they landed, the penthouse was alive with activity. Lawyers, forensic accountants, and police were combing through Irene's files. But Roman had a different plan.

He called a press conference for the next morning. The world would know the truth about Cavalli Automotive—and about the woman who had tried to tear it apart.

But that night, as Roman tucked Aria and Marco into bed, his phone rang. It was his lawyer.

"Mr. Cavalli, we found something. In Irene's safety deposit box. It's a video."

Roman's blood ran cold. "Play it."

The lawyer sent the file. Roman watched it alone in the study, the screen illuminating his face.

It was a recording of Irene, sitting in a hotel room, speaking to Elena—who was alive, but clearly ill, pale and thin.

"You're dying," Irene said, her voice cold. "And when you're gone, I'll take everything. The company. Your husband. Your daughter."

Elena smiled weakly. "You'll never have Aria. She's my blood, and blood is thicker than any lie."

Irene laughed. "Blood can be bought. I've already paid the lab to falsify the test. By the time I'm done, Aria will be a nobody."

Elena's eyes flashed with fury. "You'll lose. The truth always wins."

"The truth?" Irene spat. "I'll bury the truth so deep that no one will ever find it."

Roman watched, his hands shaking, as the video ended.

He called his lawyer back. "I need that video authenticated. And I need it leaked to the press."

"Are you sure? It will destroy Irene completely."

"That's the point."

The next morning, the press conference was packed. Roman stood at the podium, Aria and Marco beside him, and told the world everything—the forged DNA test, the bribery, the will, the video.

Irene was arrested at her hotel, her face a mask of fury as she was led away in handcuffs.

But the final twist came as she was being taken. She looked at Roman, and her lips curled into a sneer.

"You think you've won?" she hissed. "But Marco isn't your son."

Roman froze. "What?"

"I paid Sofia to say he was. The DNA test was a fake. He's just a street kid I found."

Roman's world tilted. He looked at Marco, who was staring at Irene with horror.

"She's lying," Marco whispered. "She's always lying."

But Roman didn't know. He didn't know what was true anymore.

The True Heir Was the One Who Never Stopped Believing

The days that followed were a blur of lawyers and tests. Roman ordered a new DNA test, this time with independent labs, and he waited with bated breath for the results.

Aria never left Marco's side. She held his hand, told him stories, and sang the lullaby that Elena used to sing to her.

"Mama said you were my brother," she told him. "She said family isn't about blood. It's about who you love."

Marco cried, and Roman held them both.

When the results came back, they were conclusive. Marco was not Roman's biological son.

But Roman didn't care.

He knelt down in front of Marco, his eyes wet. "You are my son," he said. "Not by blood, but by choice. And that's stronger than any test."

Marco looked at him, hope dawning in his eyes. "Really?"

"Really," Roman said. "And I will adopt you today."

Aria squealed with joy, throwing her arms around Marco. Roman held them both, the weight of the past finally lifting.

Irene was convicted of fraud, bribery, and attempted theft of a corporate dynasty. She was sentenced to twenty years in prison.

But Roman didn't dwell on her. He focused on his children—on teaching Marco to drive, on watching Aria grow, on building a new legacy based on truth and love.

One evening, as he sat on the terrace with the skyline glittering before him, Aria came to him, holding the music box.

"Papa," she said, "I want to give this to Marco."

Roman looked at her. "Why?"

"Because it's time for the next generation to have the secrets," she said, smiling. "And because I know he'll keep them safe."

Roman took the music box and pressed it into her hands. "You keep it," he said. "You were the one who found the truth. You deserve to be the keeper of the legacy."

Aria beamed, hugging the box to her chest.

As the sun set over the city, Roman looked at his family—his daughter, his son, and the memory of the woman who had believed in them all.

And he knew, with a certainty that filled his heart, that the truth had won.

The dynasty had been saved—not by money, not by power, but by a little girl who had the courage to open a music box.
