Richard’s security detail quickly moved in, wrapping Margaret in a thick, heated blanket they had brought from their idling SUVs. As they gently lifted the elderly woman, Richard turned his attention to Tyler. The young man was now curled into a ball, shaking uncontrollably on the frozen cardboard. Without his coat, the brutal winter air was rapidly taking its toll.
Richard realized with a jolt of horror that this homeless teenager had literally given up his own survival gear to keep a stranger warm.
