The exclusive penthouse restaurant atop the Manhattan skyline was alive with the low murmur of old money and clinking crystal. At the center table sat Arthur, a fifty-two-year-old billionaire tech mogul whose empire dominated the city. Despite his immense wealth, Arthur was bound to a high-tech, carbon-fiber robotic wheelchair, his legs completely lifeless. Beside him stood Charlotte, draped in a silver sequined dress, her fingers tracing the rim of her champagne glass with an air of cold detachment.

The Audacious Promise

Suddenly, the ambient luxury of the room was disrupted by a young man in a ragged, grease-stained jacket. His face was smudged with dirt, but his eyes possessed a sharp, piercing intelligence. He bypassed the security detail and walked directly to Arthur's table. Arthur looked up, his brow furrowing in confusion. The young man stopped, looked Arthur dead in the eye, and spoke with absolute calm.

"Sir."

Arthur raised his glass, a mixture of amusement and irritation crossing his face.

"You?"

The young man did not flinch.

"I can fix your leg."

A sharp, mocking laugh echoed from Charlotte. She looked at the young man as if he were a court jester. Arthur, however, smiled with a grim curiosity. He had spent millions on the best surgeons in the world, all of whom told him he would never walk again. What could this beggar possibly do?

"How long will that take?" Arthur asked.
"Just a few seconds," Henry replied.

Amused by the sheer audacity, Arthur leaned back.

"I'll give you a million."

Henry knelt down before the billionaire, reaching his dirty hands toward Arthur's bare foot resting on the wheelchair's metal plate. The crowd held its breath. Henry looked up and locked eyes with Arthur.

"Count with me. One..."

As Henry's fingers pressed hard into a specific pressure point on the side of Arthur's ankle, Arthur's face twisted in sudden disbelief.

"This is ridiculous. What?" Arthur gasped.

But before Arthur could pull away, Henry pressed deeper, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"Two."

A sudden, searing wave of heat shot up Arthur's spine. For the first time in five years, he felt his toes twitch.
