Previously: When a wealthy campus bully tries to humiliate Mia over a designer bag, she has no idea that Mia knows her deepest, most embarrassing secret.

Unmasking the Queen Bee

A collective gasp rippled through the gathered crowd. The students who had been laughing at Mia just moments ago were now whispering furiously, pointing at the cheap 'LUCCI' label exposed in Paige's supposedly priceless handbag. Paige’s face flushed a deep crimson as she scrambled backward on the pavement, desperately trying to snatch her bag back from Mia's hands.

"Give that back to me! You have no right!" Paige shrieked, her voice cracking with panic. "My parents will have you expelled for this! You’re just a nobody!"

Mia stood up slowly, dusting off her jeans. She didn't look intimidated at all. In fact, a calm, knowing smile played on her lips. She tossed the cheap imitation bag back to Paige, who clutched it to her chest like a shield.

"Go ahead, call your parents, Paige," Mia said, her voice carrying clearly across the silent courtyard. "Ask them if they've paid their outstanding bills yet. Or better yet, ask them why their luxury cars were repossessed yesterday morning."

The crowd erupted into fresh murmurs. Paige froze, her eyes widening in sheer terror. Mia’s father owned a boutique accounting and private investigation firm, and just the night before, he had shown Mia the public court filings. Paige’s family wasn't wealthy at all; they were drowning in millions of dollars of debt, living in a rented mansion they hadn't paid for in six months, and running a massive financial scam to maintain their high-society reputation.

Mia pulled out her phone and tapped the screen, displaying a public legal notice of foreclosure and fraud charges filed against Paige's family. She held it out for the surrounding students to see. The illusion of Paige’s perfect, wealthy life was shattering in real-time, and there was absolutely nothing she could do to stop it.
