He Humiliated Her in the Gym, Unaware of the Secret Hanging Around Her Neck
Previously: When a smug soldier humiliated Emily in the base gym, he thought it was just a harmless prank. But one look at her silver dog tag made his blood run cold.
Colonel Vance stepped forward, looking sharply at Emily, then at his nephew Tyler, who looked as if he might faint on the spot. The Colonel opened his mouth, likely ready to defend his nephew or dismiss the issue, but the General silenced him with a single raised hand.
Emily looked straight ahead, her posture perfect. She knew she had the power to end Tyler's military career right then and there. One word about the harassment, and both Tyler and his enabling uncle would face ruin. Tyler stared at her, his eyes begging for mercy.

Instead of anger, a cold, calculated calm washed over Emily. She decided to teach Tyler a lesson he would never forget, without burning down the base.
An Unexpected Request
"Sir," Emily announced clearly. "It was a mishap during an unscheduled hydration and endurance drill. Specialist Tyler was assisting me. However, during our drill, Specialist Tyler expressed a deep, passionate desire to volunteer for the upcoming winter survival training in Northern Alaska."
The General’s eyes flickered with a brief, knowing amusement. He knew his daughter well enough to read between the lines. He turned his gaze to Tyler.
"Is that correct, Specialist Tyler?" the General asked, his voice booming. "Are you volunteering for the arctic detail?"
Tyler, knowing the alternative was a court-martial and dishonorable discharge, swallowed hard.
"Yes, General!" Tyler squeaked, his voice cracking. "I volunteer, sir!"
"Outstanding," the General said. "Colonel, make sure Specialist Tyler is on the first transport to Alaska tomorrow morning. Six months in the ice should perfect his drill technique."
Tyler’s uncle could only nod in stunned silence. As the inspection continued, Tyler looked at Emily with a mixture of profound relief and absolute horror. He had escaped a court-martial, but his life was about to become a frozen nightmare. Emily simply stood at attention, a faint, victorious smile playing on her lips.
True strength isn't about crushing your enemies with raw power; it's about showing them that you hold their fate in your hands—and letting them sweat.
