"Julian," Arthur demanded, his voice booming over the murmurs. "What is the meaning of this? You told us your wife was in a specialized sanatorium in Switzerland!"

You locked me in the penthouse guest room. The crowd gasped in horror. Socialites hid their faces behind their fans, and several prominent investors began to step back from Julian, as if his ruin were contagious.

Evelyn Sterling looked at the diamond necklace around her neck, then at Julian, her expression turning to absolute disgust. "You told me you were single, Julian. You told me you were looking for a partner to share your empire with!"

"Evelyn, no, it's not what it looks like!" Julian pleaded, turning back and forth between his wife and his investors.

Just then, Marcus stepped forward and connected his tablet to the ballroom’s massive projector screen. A series of documents flashed before the crowd—financial records showing that Julian had been transferring Clara’s personal inheritance into his own shell companies to fund his latest real estate project.

"He didn't just hide her," Marcus announced to the stunned crowd. "He has been systematically draining her estate while keeping her trapped and isolated."
