Previously: When Chloe is brutally attacked in a sterile hospital hallway by her sister-in-law Victoria, her husband David rushes to save her, uncovering a dark family secret.

Unmasking the Betrayal

The tension in the hospital corridor was suffocating. Victoria stood panting, her hot pink dress a jarring contrast to the sterile, clinical walls. She glared at David, her own brother, with eyes full of resentment. "She doesn't deserve to carry the family heir, David!" Victoria spat, her voice echoing off the tiles. "If she has that baby, Father's inheritance goes entirely to you and her. I won't let some young nobody steal what belongs to me!"

David looked at his sister in utter disbelief. He had always known Victoria was greedy, but he never imagined she would stoop to physical violence against an innocent pregnant woman. "You are insane, Victoria," David said, his voice trembling with a mix of rage and sorrow. "This is my child. This is your family. How could you?"

Nurse Sarah immediately signaled for hospital security. Within seconds, two guards appeared at the end of the hallway, their heavy boots thudding against the floor. Victoria realized her time was up, but instead of showing remorse, she sneered. "You think you've won, David? This family fortune was supposed to be mine. I'll make sure you both pay for this!"

As security restrained Victoria, Chloe let out a sharp, agonizing cry. "David, it hurts! Something is wrong!" she whimpered, clutching her abdomen. The stress of the attack had triggered intense contractions. Nurse Sarah sprang into action, calling for a gurney. "We need to get her to the delivery ward immediately!" Sarah shouted to her colleagues.

David watched in horror as his sister was led away in handcuffs, still screaming curses, while his wife was rushed down the hallway on a stretcher. The fight to save his wife and unborn child had only just begun.
