My Husband Shoved Me to Protect His Mother, So I Froze Our Entire Empire
Previously: After her husband Ryan physically shoved her to defend his manipulative mother, Mariana decided she was done playing nice. With one phone call, she froze the multi-million dollar empire they thought was theirs.
A New Reign Begins
As Eleanor frantically threw her designer clothes into suitcases, Mariana arrived. She stepped out of her car, wearing a sharp cream-colored pantsuit that exuded power. The scratch on her cheek was still visible, a faint pink line that served as a reminder of why she was doing this. She stood in the marble foyer, watching the chaos unfold with a calm, regal demeanor.
Ryan ran down the stairs, his arrogance completely shattered. He fell to his knees in front of her, desperately trying to grab her hands.
"Mariana, please! I was angry, I didn't mean it!" he begged, tears streaming down his face. "We can fix this. I love you. My mother... she made me do it!"
Mariana looked down at him, her eyes completely devoid of the warmth he had spent years taking for granted. She gently pulled her hands away, refusing to let him touch her.
"You chose your mother's lies over your wife's loyalty, Ryan," she said softly but firmly. "And Eleanor, I know about the offshore accounts you tried to set up using my company's funds. Your greed has finally caught up with you."
Eleanor stood at the top of the stairs, her champagne silk gown replaced by a hurried travel outfit, her silver bun messy and undone. The smug smile she had worn the night before was completely gone, replaced by a look of sheer terror. For the first time in her life, she was powerless.
With the legal documents finalized, Ryan and Eleanor were escorted out of the mansion, carrying nothing but a few suitcases. The empire they thought they owned had been stripped away in a matter of hours, leaving them with nothing but their pride and their debts.
Mariana stood alone in the grand foyer, looking at the gold geometric inlay on the floor. The physical and emotional scars would take time to heal, but as she looked toward the future, she knew she had reclaimed her life. A marriage built on disrespect and manipulation will always crumble under the weight of the truth.
