I Confronted a Ruthless Biker Gang to Find My Missing Husband After Twenty Years
Previously: Clara walked into the smoky biker bar with nothing but her missing husband's vintage vest and a twenty-year-old mystery. She never expected the toughest biker to freeze at the sight of it.
Unearthing the Betrayal
Jack’s grip on Clara’s arm was surprisingly gentle as he guided her through the silent crowd and into a private, wood-paneled office at the back of the bar. He shut the door firmly behind them, shutting out the prying eyes of the other club members. He began pacing the small room, his massive hands clenched into fists as he tried to process what he had just seen.
"This is impossible," Jack muttered, shaking his head. "Thomas was declared a traitor. The club was told he stole our entire treasury and abandoned us twenty years ago. We thought he ran off to start a new life with the money."
Clara felt a surge of hot anger. "Thomas loved this club more than his own life," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. "He would never steal a single dime from his brothers. He was set up."
Jack stopped pacing and stepped closer, gently touching the gold embroidery on the vest Clara wore. His eyes softened with a sudden, painful realization.
"This vest... it has the original founder's seal," Jack said softly. "Thomas told us he lost this in a garage fire weeks before he went missing. If he kept it hidden, if he gave it to you... it means he knew someone was coming for him. He was trying to protect the club's legacy."
Before Clara could ask what he meant, the heavy wooden door of the office was kicked open. Standing in the doorway was Marcus, the current president of the Iron Shadows. He was an older, scarred man with cold, calculating eyes. In his hand, he was casually tossing a rusted pocket knife—a knife Clara recognized instantly as the one she had gifted Thomas on their fifth anniversary.
"Well, well," Marcus sneered, his gaze moving from Clara to the vintage vest. "I thought I smelled a ghost. You shouldn't have come here, Clara. Some secrets are meant to stay buried."
”Some secrets are meant to stay buried."
