Previously: Nineteen-year-old Leo is thrown into the colosseum to face a deadly beast, but a single scar on his arm changes his fate and exposes a royal conspiracy.

Justice in the Arena

As the elite guards leaped into the arena, High Cleric Thomas did the unthinkable. He raised his holy staff, calling down a blinding flash of light that halted the attackers in their tracks. The Cleric turned his gaze directly toward King Robert.

"The heavens have spoken, Robert,"
Thomas declared, dropping the honorific title.
"For twenty years, you forced me to keep the secret of how you poisoned the Great Champion and stole his infant son’s birthright. Today, the gods themselves have brought the boy back to claim his justice."

The revelation struck the colosseum like a thunderbolt. The spectators roared in outrage, turning their fury toward the royal balcony. Realizing he had lost all authority, King Robert attempted to flee, but his own guards blocked his exit, disarming him and forcing him to his knees. The very soldiers who were meant to execute Leo now turned to face him, bowing their heads in deep respect.

Leo walked out of the arena not as a condemned prisoner, but as the recognized protector of the realm, flanked by the loyal black lion. He spared the fallen king's life, choosing exile over execution to prove he was nothing like the tyrant who had destroyed his family. Under Leo's new leadership, the empire began a new era of peace and prosperity, built on the foundations of truth and honor.

True strength is not found in the crowns we seize, but in the courage to stand for the truth when the whole world is watching.
