The Biker's Vengeance

Thorne’s face contorted with rage, veins bulging in his neck. His fist drew back, a brutal, clenched weapon aimed at Elena’s face. The air crackled with his guttural roar, “Nobody makes me wait!” Elena flinched violently, squeezing her eyes shut, her cheeks quivering. It was a scene of pure terror, a predator about to pounce on the defenseless.

But he never landed the blow. In a fraction of a second, a force erupted from the shadows. I moved faster than I had in years, my massive hand intercepting Thorne’s descending fist. The impact was jarring, a bone-rattling thud that echoed through the tavern, halting his momentum instantly. Thorne’s sneer vanished, replaced by a mask of stunned disbelief. His eyes bulged, his breath caught in his throat.

“Raise a hand to her again,” I growled, my voice a low, menacing rumble, “and I’ll tear it off.”

My grip tightened, my knuckles, adorned with heavy silver rings, digging into his flesh. I twisted his wrist, the agonizing torque forcing his knees to slam onto the wet floorboards with a dull thud. Thorne shrieked, a raw, breathless sound of pure agony. “Arrgh! My wrist… let go, you filthy animal!” His arrogance had evaporated, replaced by the desperate whimpers of a cornered rat.

I held his gaze, my steel-blue eyes locked onto his, my jaw set. He was broken, defeated. I wrenched his arm tighter, forcing his face inches from the spilled coffee. Then, I stepped forward, my broad, leather-clad shoulders shielding Elena’s frail form. She looked up at me, her eyes wide with a mixture of terror and a dawning relief.

“You’re trespassing on her property,” I stated, my voice deadly calm, resonating with finality. “And you just assaulted my mother.”

Thorne whimpered, tears of agony now streaming down his face, a pathetic sight. But as I released him, something shifted. Elena, who had been trembling, suddenly stood taller. The fear in her eyes was replaced by a steely resolve I had never witnessed before.

“Gregory,” she said, her voice no longer frail, but clear and strong, carrying an unexpected authority that silenced Thorne’s whimpers. “You should have known better than to threaten my son’s family.”

My own breath hitched. My mother? What did she mean?
