Previously: When eight-year-old Emma ran down the aisle clutching an old film camera, the groom panicked. The shocking audio recorded on the device changed the wedding forever.

The Voice on the Tape

The static cleared, and the voice on the recording became terrifyingly sharp. "After the wedding, I'll take control of her family's trust fund," Daniel’s recorded voice boasted, laced with a cold arrogance Jessica had never heard before. "She has no idea. She thinks I actually love her. Once the papers are signed, we can finally be together, Sarah."

The chapel erupted into gasps and whispers. Jessica felt the world spinning around her. Sarah was her maid of honor—and her childhood best friend. Jessica slowly turned her head to look at Sarah, who stood frozen in her bridesmaid gown, her face flushed with guilt. The puzzle pieces instantly clicked into place: the late-night text messages Daniel claimed were from his boss, the sudden weekend business trips, and his intense eagerness to rush the wedding.

"This is a setup! It's a fake recording!"
Daniel yelled, his voice cracking as he reached out to grab Jessica's arm. "Jessica, you know me! I love you. Your little sister is playing a sick joke, or someone edited my voice. You can't believe this garbage!"

But Jessica pulled away from his touch as if his hand were made of fire. The raw panic in Daniel's eyes was all the confirmation she needed. She looked down at Emma, who was crying silently. Emma had been playing with the vintage camera, which belonged to their late grandfather, in the bridal suite earlier that morning. She had accidentally left the audio memo function running when Daniel and Sarah thought they were completely alone in the hallway.

"Is it true, Sarah?" Jessica asked, her voice dangerously quiet. Sarah burst into tears, unable to meet Jessica’s gaze. The betrayal was complete, laid bare before a hundred wedding guests.
