The Lost Boy in the Meadow

The roar of the engines had finally subsided into a rhythmic tick-tick of cooling metal. Silas, a rugged biker with a graying beard and a lifetime of hard roads etched into his face, leaned against his motorcycle. The afternoon sun was hidden behind a thick blanket of gray clouds, casting a soft, melancholy light over the meadow. His club brothers were laughing, sharing stories, but Silas felt a strange, persistent weight in his chest. That was when he heard the soft rustle of the tall grass.

Out of the green expanse stumbled a little boy. He couldn't have been more than six years old, his messy blonde hair blowing in the wind. He wore a tiny, distressed denim vest that looked far too big for his fragile frame. In his haste, his boot caught a hidden root, and he tumbled forward, hitting the dirt with a soft thud. Silas instinctively took a step forward, but the boy quickly scrambled to his feet. He wasn't crying from the fall; instead, he clutched a small object tightly to his chest.

With trembling legs, the boy ran straight toward Silas. He stopped, looking up at the towering biker with eyes full of desperate hope.

"Please sir, buy it," the boy pleaded, his voice cracking.

Silas knelt down, his heavy leather vest creaking. He gently took the object from the boy's hands. It was a beautifully carved wooden toy motorcycle, detailed with intricate precision. Silas felt a chill run down his spine. "Who made this?" he asked, his voice softening.

The boy wiped his eyes with his sleeve, tears finally spilling over. "My dad," he sobbed. Silas looked closer at the boy's face, recognizing a familiar shape in his jaw. "What's his name?" he asked. The boy's lips trembled.

"He said if he died, I should find the biker who is my father. He told me to find Silas."
