Previously: When maid Lily is hired by the wealthy Sterling family, she expects hard work. Instead, three little boys run into her arms calling her "Mommy," exposing a dark family secret.

The Birthmark of Truth

Beatrice rushed forward, her heels clicking sharply against the polished floor as she tried to pull the boys away from Lily. "Leo, Max, Sam! Get away from her! She is just the new cleaning lady!" she hissed, her voice laced with panic. But the boys resisted, clinging to Lily's uniform as if their lives depended on it.

As Lily gently held the hand of the boy named Max, her eyes fell upon his left wrist. There, stark against his pale skin, was a small, heart-shaped birthmark. Lily's breath hitched. Her mind raced back to the hospital five years ago, to the fleeting moment she had held one of her babies before the doctor rushed them away, claiming they were too weak to survive. She had seen that exact birthmark.

"These are my boys," Lily whispered, her voice shaking but resolute. She stood up, shielding the triplets behind her. "Henry, Beatrice... where did you get these children?"

Beatrice's face flushed with anger. "How dare you! We adopted them legally through a private agency! Leave this house immediately before I call the police!" she screamed. But Henry remained silent, his eyes darting guiltily between Lily and his wife. He looked as though he had just seen a ghost.

Lily refused to back down. "My babies didn't die five years ago at St. Jude's Hospital, did they? The clinic doctor, Dr. Evelyn Vance... she told me they passed away. But she was your sister, wasn't she, Beatrice?" The pieces of the puzzle were falling into place with terrifying speed. The private adoption, the sudden wealth of the doctor, and the uncanny resemblance of the triplets to Lily's late husband. The truth was staring them in the face, and the silence in the foyer was deafening.
