"Yes, George,"Arthur said into the receiver, his voice calm but dripping with immense gravity.
"I am at your diner on 5th Street. Your manager, Marcus, has just fired a brave young man for saving my son Leo from choking. I suggest you handle this immediately before I reconsider our medical board's partnership with your entire commercial group."
The color drained from Marcus’s face. George was the billionaire franchise owner who leased the entire plaza, and Dr. Carter’s medical foundation practically funded their commercial expansion.
