Coughing and waving his hands wildly, Robert fell to his knees. The scalding steam had missed his eyes, but the shock left him disoriented and breathless. "I'm so sorry, sir! The pressure valve was completely rusted through. Are you alright?" she asked, her tough exterior melting into genuine concern.
