My Mother-in-Law Attacked Me Over a Secret Test That Exposed Her Own Lie
Previously: When Eleanor found a paternity test in her son's home, she flew into a violent rage against her daughter-in-law. But she completely misread whose DNA was actually on that paper.
The Accusation
Eleanor retreated to the hallway, but she refused to leave the house. Justin followed her down to the living room, his face pale with anger, while Sarah comforted the sobbing baby upstairs before joining them, her scalp still burning from the assault.
"Justin, you don't understand!" Eleanor cried, her voice trembling as she tried to regain her composure. "I was looking for an envelope on your desk, and I found it. A DNA test! It says zero percent probability of paternity! She cheated on you! That baby isn't yours!"
Sarah felt the air leave her lungs. She looked at Justin, expecting him to turn on her, but instead, Justin’s expression hardened into something cold and tragic. He looked at his mother not with anger, but with profound disappointment.

"Mom, did you actually read the names on that paper?" Justin asked, his voice deadly quiet.
Eleanor blinked, caught off guard. "I saw the negative paternity result, Justin! I saw your name! It's obvious!"
"If you had read the entire document," Justin said, stepping closer, "you would have realized that the test had nothing to do with Toby. I took that test last month. I compared my DNA to a sample of Dad's old hair brush from the attic."
The room fell into a suffocating silence. Eleanor's face drained of all color. She took a step back, her hands shaking as she clutched her navy sweatshirt.
"Why... why would you do that?" Eleanor whispered, her voice barely audible.
"Because my medical screening didn't make sense," Justin replied, his voice cracking with emotion. "And now I know why. The man who raised me, the man I called Dad my entire life, was not my biological father. You lied to him, and you lied to me for thirty years."
”You lied to him, and you lied to me for thirty years."
