Previously: On my wedding day, my mother-in-law ripped my gown and tried to turn my groom against me. She didn't realize my hidden cameras recorded every single second of her cruelty.

The Ultimate Ultimatum

Eleanor’s face drained of color as the security footage played on a continuous loop, exposing her lie. For a moment, the elegant matriarch was speechless. Then, her shock curdled into venomous rage. She lunged toward the television, attempting to rip the cords from the wall, but David stepped between her and the screen. "Don't touch it, Mom," he said, his voice shaking with a mixture of anger and deep betrayal.

"This girl is a manipulative snake!" Eleanor screamed, pointing a manicured finger at me. "She set me up! David, if you marry her, I will cut you off completely. You will lose your position at the firm, your inheritance, and your family name. Choose right now—her, or us!"

The silence in the kitchen was suffocating. I stood up slowly, holding the ruined lace of my dress together, waiting for David's response. I knew what was at stake; his mother controlled the vast family fortune. But David didn't hesitate. He took off his beige suit jacket and gently draped it over my shoulders, covering the damage. "Get out of here, Mom," he said quietly. "And don't come to the wedding."

Eleanor gasped, her eyes wide with disbelief. She grabbed her designer bag and stormed out, slamming the heavy oak door. We thought the worst was over, but ten minutes later, my phone rang. It was our wedding planner. In a panicked voice, she informed us that Eleanor had called the venue, the caterers, and the florist, canceling everything under the family account. The gates to our dream wedding venue were locked. We had fifty guests arriving in less than an hour, and we had nowhere to go. I collapsed against David, feeling completely defeated. But then, a text message arrived from an unknown number. It read: "I saw what she did. My estate is down the road, and my doors are open to you."
