The historic stone chapel was bathed in the warm, flickering glow of dozens of scented candles. It was supposed to be the most intimate, sacred day of Lucas and Chloe's lives. Standing at the altar, Lucas looked at his beautiful bride. Just as the priest cleared his throat to begin the vows, a sudden draft swept through the chapel. The heavy oak doors at the back of the church swung open with a resounding thud. Every head turned. Walking down the aisle with absolute confidence was a silver-haired man in a tailored grey suit. It was Henry. He looked entirely out of place in the sacred space, carrying himself with the cold authority of a man who owned every room he entered.

"Sorry I'm late, daughter, I was in an important meeting,"

Henry said, his voice echoing off the stone walls without a hint of real apology. Lucas froze. His heart hammered against his ribs, and his breath caught in his throat. He stared at the older man, his eyes widening in sheer disbelief as the puzzle pieces violently clashed together in his mind.

"Boss?"
