Previously: Chloe thought she was marrying the love of her life, but at the altar, Liam whispered a cruel secret. He didn't know her estranged father was actually his billionaire boss.

A New Beginning

Chloe looked at Liam, the illusion finally shattered. The man she had loved was nothing more than a parasitic opportunist. Standing beside her father, she felt a strength she hadn’t known she possessed. She stepped out of Liam’s reach and pulled the diamond engagement ring off her finger, dropping it onto the cold stone floor. It bounced with a hollow metallic ring.

blockquote>"The wedding is over, Liam,"

Chloe said, her voice steady and clear.

blockquote>"You wanted a poor girl, but you ended up with nothing at all."

Arthur smiled proudly at his daughter before turning his attention back to the trembling groom. He pulled out his phone and made a brief call.

blockquote>"Clear out Liam Miller's desk. He is terminated immediately for gross moral corporate violations and breach of company ethics. And ensure every firm in the city knows exactly why he was let go,"

Arthur commanded, ending the call before Liam could even beg. Within seconds, Liam’s career, reputation, and future were completely dismantled.

The guests began to whisper excitedly as Liam was escorted out of the cathedral by security, utterly ruined and humiliated. He had traded a lifetime of genuine love and unimaginable wealth for a moment of cruel arrogance.

Arthur turned to Chloe, offering his arm. This time, she took it with a smile. They walked down the aisle together, leaving the failed wedding behind and stepping into a bright new future as a reunited family. Chloe had lost a deceitful fiancé, but she had regained her father and found her own self-worth.

True love cannot be bought or exploited, and those who seek to climb by stepping on others will always find themselves falling the hardest.
