Previously: A ruthless mob lieutenant's cruelty towards a waitress escalates, forcing her powerful father to intervene. But this is no ordinary father; he's a crime boss with a very personal stake in his daughter's safety.

A Father's Vengeance

The air crackled with unspoken threat as General Davis loomed over Jason Vance. The mob lieutenant's bravado had vanished, replaced by a primal fear that contorted his features. His Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed, his eyes darting frantically, pupils dilated in sheer terror. General Davis, a figure of terrifying composure, set his heavy crystal tumbler onto the table with a resounding thud. He was a mountain of a man, his broad shoulders filling out his Italian wool suit, radiating an aura of absolute, lethal power. "She is my only daughter," Davis stated, his voice a low, gravelly growl that promised retribution. In a blur of motion that belied his years, Davis struck. His massive hand clamped around Vance's throat like an iron vise, yanking the struggling man off his feet. Vance thrashed, his hands clawing uselessly at the unyielding grip, his face turning a horrifying shade of purple as air was brutally choked from his lungs. Davis slammed Vance onto the candlelit marble table with bone-crushing force. Crystal wine glasses shattered, their glittering shards raining down as dark burgundy wine pooled on the white linen, mimicking the blood that had appeared on Clara's collar. Vance’s eyes bulged in asphyxiated terror. Clara, watching from a short distance, gasped soundlessly, her hand flying to her mouth, stunned into a silent tableau of shock. Davis leaned in, his steel-gray eyes inches from Vance's suffocating face. His knuckles ground into Vance's larynx, eliciting a choked gurgle. From beneath his lapel, he produced a gold-engraved snub-nosed revolver. The cold steel pressed firmly between Vance's trembling eyes. "Beg Clara for your pathetic life, or you die on this table," Davis commanded, his voice devoid of mercy. Vance, paralyzed by sheer panic, could only weep, tears streaming down his bruised temples. The brutal lesson was delivered: never, under any circumstances, threaten the family of General Davis. The consequences were absolute. Clara, witnessing the terrifying display of paternal protection, understood the true depth of her father's power and the price of crossing him.
