Previously: Olivia's cruel ex-husband threw her onto the pavement, pregnant and empty-handed. But when she made one phone call to her father, the ultimate power dynamic shifted forever.

The Arrival of the Real Power

The heavy doors of the lead SUV swung open, and out stepped Arthur Vance. At sixty-two, Arthur was a towering figure in the corporate real estate world, known for his uncompromising ethics and formidable legal armory. Clad in a tailored charcoal suit, his expression was pure stone. Behind him, three of the city’s most expensive corporate attorneys stepped out, clutching thick leather briefcases. The smug smile on Richard’s face instantly evaporated, replaced by a pale, nervous sweat.

Arthur didn't even glance at Richard at first. He walked straight to his daughter, wrapping his arms around her trembling shoulders. "I’ve got you, sweetheart," he murmured softly, before turning a freezing glare toward the steps. Richard took a step back, instinctively pulling Sarah behind him.

"Arthur," Richard stammered, trying to regain his composure. "This is private property. Your daughter has no right to be here. The divorce papers are signed."

Arthur’s lead attorney, a sharp-eyed woman named Eleanor, stepped forward and opened a folder. "Actually, Richard, that is where you are catastrophically mistaken," she announced, her voice cutting through the tense air like a scalpel. "While you did indeed sign the divorce agreement, you failed to read the fine print of the trust agreement that funded this entire estate."

Richard’s brow furrowed. "What are you talking about? I bought this land. My company built this house!"

"Your company was funded by a bridge loan from Vance Holdings," Arthur intervened, his voice dripping with authority. "A loan that was secured by the deed of this very property. Since you defaulted on the quarterly payment terms last midnight—a default we deliberately chose not to remind you of—the ownership of this villa, the land, and the holding company itself has officially reverted back to the trust. Which is held entirely in Olivia's name."

Sarah gasped, her hand dropping from Richard's arm. Richard stared in absolute horror as the realization began to sink in. The very ground he stood on was no longer his.
