The doors of the lead SUV swung open, and the heavy silence that followed was suffocating. Out stepped Arthur Vance, a man whose name was whispered with absolute reverence and fear in the highest corporate circles of the country. Dressed in a bespoke charcoal suit, his expression was carved from granite. Behind him, four high-powered corporate attorneys in identical dark suits stepped out, carrying thick leather briefcases.

Richard’s smug grin evaporated in an instant. His face drained of all color, turning a ghostly shade of white. Sarah, sensing the sudden shift in the atmosphere, clutched Richard’s arm, her eyes wide with confusion.

"Arthur Vance?" Richard stammered, his voice suddenly sounding small and pathetic. "What... what are you doing here?"

Olivia had spent her entire marriage hiding her true identity. She had wanted a simple life, free from the overwhelming shadow of her father’s multi-billion-dollar empire. She had married Richard believing he loved her for who she was, only for him to systematically dismantle her self-esteem, cheat on her with Sarah, and use a series of legal loopholes to strip her of their shared assets during their divorce. He thought she was just an ordinary, defenseless woman with no family to back her up.

Arthur didn't even look at Richard. He walked straight to his daughter, gently helping her up from the dirt and kissing her forehead.

"I've got you, sweetheart," Arthur murmured softly, before turning a chilling gaze toward the steps. "You can put your hands off my daughter's property, Richard."

Richard tried to find his courage, stepping forward on the balcony.

"With all due respect, Mr. Vance, this mansion is legally mine now," Richard argued, though his voice trembled. "The divorce decree is signed. Olivia has no claim to this estate."

Arthur's lead attorney stepped forward, opening a thick folder.

"That would be true, Richard," the attorney said smoothly. "If this mansion hadn't been purchased using capital from Vance Enterprises' primary holding group—a group that just pulled its funding."
