Gregory took a step back, his face turning pale as he looked up at the three giant men. He tried to maintain his composure, clutching his leather briefcase tightly against his chest. He scoffed, looking at Natalie with sheer contempt.

"Your mother? Natalie, what kind of pathetic stunt is this? You don't have any children, let alone three giant thugs!" Gregory sneered, pulling out his phone. "I am going to call the police and have you all thrown out of here."

Rex didn't flinch. Instead, he took a step closer, his towering shadow completely enveloping the smaller man in the suit. He pointed to the leather patch on his chest—the emblem of a prominent local veterans' motorcycle association known for their charity work and fierce community protection.

"Go ahead and call them," Rex rumbled, his voice low and dangerous. "But while you wait, maybe we should discuss how you've been harassing our 'mother' here. We don't take kindly to people threatening our family."

Gregory's hand trembled as he looked at the emblem. He knew the reputation of this group; they were highly respected, and many local police officers were actually members. He realized he had no leverage here. But Gregory's greed ran deep. He pointed an angry finger at Natalie.

"She signed an agreement! This diner belongs to my development firm. You can't stop the law!" he yelled.

Rex glanced over at the framed photograph on the wall behind the cash register. It was a picture of Natalie's late father, Arthur, wearing his old military uniform. Rex's eyes widened in recognition. He looked back at Natalie, then at the menu which bore the name 'Arthur's Diner'.

"Arthur was your father?" Rex asked, his gruff demeanor suddenly shifting to one of profound respect.

Natalie nodded slowly, tears welling in her eyes. The atmosphere in the diner shifted instantly, leaving Gregory utterly confused and increasingly terrified.
