Previously: When Marcus threw his pregnant wife out of their mansion for a wealthy socialite, he thought she had nothing. He didn't realize her father was the most powerful tycoon in the city.

The Sterling Empire Awakes

Marcus’s mocking laughter cut through the chilly afternoon air.

"Your dad?"
he sneered, stepping down a single stair.
"What’s that retired schoolteacher going to do, Elena? Call the principal on me? You have nothing. This house is mine, my company is mine, and you are leaving with nothing."
Sophia chuckled beside him, leaning into his shoulder as if they had already won the war.

But within fifteen minutes, the quiet, exclusive neighborhood echoed with the powerful roar of heavy engines. Two massive, jet-black luxury SUVs tore around the corner, splashing water from the puddles as they pulled directly onto the wet stone driveway, blocking Marcus’s sports car. Four burly bodyguards in tailored black suits stepped out instantly, scanning the perimeter with military precision.

Then, the door of the lead SUV opened. Out stepped Arthur Sterling. He was not a retired high school teacher. He was one of the most feared and respected real estate tycoons in the country. Elena had hidden her family’s immense wealth and changed her last name when she met Marcus, wanting to find a man who loved her for who she was, not her father’s billions. Marcus had never met Arthur, only hearing fabricated stories Elena told to keep her secret safe.

Now, the truth was standing on his driveway. Arthur walked past his bodyguards, his sharp eyes locked onto Marcus. Behind him, three top-tier corporate attorneys stepped out, carrying thick leather briefcases. Marcus’s face drained of all color. He recognized Arthur Sterling from every business magazine and real estate gala he had ever dreamed of attending.

"You..."
Marcus stammered, his voice cracking as he looked from Arthur to Elena.
"You’re Arthur Sterling’s daughter?"
Sophia’s smug smile vanished, replaced by a look of sheer horror as she realized the massive mistake they had just made. Arthur stood beside Elena, wrapping a warm arm around his crying daughter.
"You threw my daughter and my unborn grandchild onto the street,"
Arthur said, his voice low and vibrating with pure rage.
"I built the banks that fund your projects, Marcus. By tomorrow morning, you won't even own the shoes on your feet."
