Previously: When Richard installed a hidden security camera in his foyer, he never expected to catch his new wife, Eleanor, mistreating his young daughter, Lily. What he did next changed everything.

The Confrontation and the Hidden Threat

The heavy oak door bounced off the wall with a deafening crash, echoing through the high-ceilinged foyer. Eleanor gasped, dropping the box of crackers she had been holding. Richard stood in the doorway, his chest heaving, his eyes locked on his trembling daughter. Without a word to his wife, he rushed forward and scooped Lily into his arms. The little girl buried her face in his neck, her entire body shaking with heavy, relieved sobs.

"Richard!" Eleanor stammered, her face turning pale as she tried to compose herself. "You're home early. I... I was just teaching Lily some responsibility. She spilled juice, and I wanted her to learn to clean up after herself." She took a step forward, attempting to flash the warm, loving smile that had once captivated him. But the illusion was completely shattered.

Richard slowly turned to face her, keeping one arm tightly around Lily. With his free hand, he pulled out his phone and pressed play, holding the screen inches from Eleanor's face. The video of her mocking his crying child played on a loop.

"I saw everything, Eleanor. Every single second of your cruelty,"
he said, his voice dangerously low.
"Get your things and get out of my house. We are done."

To his shock, Eleanor’s panic quickly morphed into a cold, calculating sneer. She didn't beg for forgiveness. Instead, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small, brass key—the key to the private safe in Richard's study. "You think you can just throw me out?" she whispered, her voice laced with venom. "If you do, I will ruin you. I found the documents your first wife left behind in your safe. If the police—or the papers—see what she wrote about you before she died, you'll lose custody of Lily forever." Richard's heart stopped as he realized the depth of the trap his new wife had laid.
