Previously: At our lavish outdoor banquet, my young son Ethan suddenly ran up screaming that my elegant new wife had poisoned the food. What we found in her purse changed everything.

A Dark Betrayal Unveiled

Raymond's fingers trembled as he reached into the pristine white leather of Charlotte's handbag. Inside, nestled next to her designer cosmetics, lay two items that made his blood run cold: a small, amber glass vial filled with a clear liquid, and a folded glossy photograph. He pulled the photograph out first, unfolding it in the bright afternoon light.

The image showed Charlotte standing intimately close to Marcus, Raymond's former business partner who had been fired a year prior for embezzlement. On the back of the photo, Marcus's handwriting was unmistakable: "Get rid of Raymond, and the entire real estate empire is ours. Love always, Marcus."

Raymond felt as if the ground had opened up beneath him. He looked up at Charlotte, his heart breaking into a million pieces.

"What is the meaning of this, Charlotte?" Raymond asked, his voice a low, dangerous whisper.

Charlotte tried to laugh, but the sound was high-pitched and frantic. "Raymond, darling, that is an old photo! Marcus is obsessed with me, he framed me! You can't believe a child and a bodyguard over your own wife!"

But the guests were already whispering, and several had pulled out their phones to record the unfolding drama. Realizing her cover was completely blown, Charlotte's elegant facade shattered. Her eyes turned cold, filled with a venomous rage.

"You foolish, arrogant man," Charlotte spat, dropping all pretense of affection. "You thought I actually loved you? You were just a stepping stone."

Before anyone could react, Charlotte lunged across the table. She snatched a sharp steak knife from a silver platter and turned her fury toward Ethan, who was standing frozen in fear near the edge of the table.

"If I am going down, I am taking away the only thing you care about!" she screamed, raising the blade.

Raymond screamed in terror, but Ryan, the bodyguard, was already moving. With lightning-fast reflexes, Ryan intercepted Charlotte, twisting her wrist until the knife clattered harmlessly to the stone floor. He pinned her arms behind her back, but Charlotte only laughed maniacally, her eyes wild with triumph.
