My Wife Humiliated My Mother on the Floor, Then My Wealthy Uncle Walked In
Previously: When Beatrice forced her elderly mother-in-law to scrub the floor on her knees, she thought she was in control. But a sudden knock at the door changed everything.
A Shocking Confrontation
The sudden interruption hung heavily in the air. Beatrice instantly wiped the mocking sneer from her face, smoothing down her silk blouse as she attempted to project an air of calm elegance.
"Uncle Arthur!"she exclaimed, her voice suddenly sweet.
"We didn't expect you until dinner. It’s nothing, really. Eleanor just had a little accident, and she was helping me tidy up."
Arthur did not look at Beatrice. His sharp eyes were fixed on Eleanor, who was still trembling on the floor. He stepped forward, setting his leather briefcase down on a nearby console table. Kneeling beside his sister, he gently took the damp rag from her hands and helped her to her feet.
"Eleanor, stand up,"he said softly, wrapping his arm around her shaking shoulders.
"You do not belong on your knees in this house. Not today, and not ever."
Arthur turned his gaze to Tyler, who shrank back under his uncle's intense scrutiny.
"Tyler, how could you stand by and watch your mother be treated this way?"Arthur asked, his voice trembling with controlled rage. Tyler looked down at the floor, unable to find the words to defend his cowardice.
"Beatrice's father... he funds my firm, Uncle Arthur. I couldn't..."he whispered, his voice trailing off.
Beatrice chimed in, her patience wearing thin.
"Exactly. This house, Tyler's business, everything you see is supported by my family's wealth. If Eleanor wants to live under our roof, she needs to make herself useful. This is our home!"she snapped, crossing her arms defensively.
Arthur let out a cold, humorless chuckle. He walked back to his briefcase and unzipped it, pulling out a thick, official-looking document.
"That is where you are deeply mistaken, Beatrice,"Arthur said, holding up the papers.
"This house does not belong to your family. In fact, your father's entire company is built on a massive loan from a private trust—a trust that belongs entirely to Eleanor."
