The Nanny-Cam Caught Everything: Stepmother's Scheme Backfires in Zurich
Previously: When Elena jumps into the pool to save baby Theo, Selena blames her. But a housekeeper's tablet reveals the truth, changing everything in an instant.
The Final Confrontation in the Atrium
Selena arrived within the hour, her champagne-gold gown replaced by a black power suit, her glossy curls pulled back in a severe bun. Two guards flanked her at the entrance, but her lawyer had made it clear: she had a right to retrieve her personal property.
Elena stood in the atrium, Theo in her arms, Martha at her side. Marcus was in the study, on the phone with his own lawyer, trying to get a restraining order.

Selena's heels clicked on the travertine as she approached. Her eyes were cold, calculating.
“Well, if it isn't the hero nanny,” she sneered. “Enjoying your fifteen minutes?”
Elena held her ground. “You're not welcome here, Selena.”
“I'm not here for you,” Selena snapped. “I'm here to pack my things — and to warn you.”
She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. “You think you've won? You haven't. I have evidence that you were negligent that day. I have witnesses who saw you 'accidentally' bump the stroller.”
Elena's heart raced, but she kept her voice steady. “The nanny-cam shows the truth.”
Selena laughed, a sharp, brittle sound. “The nanny-cam that mysteriously stopped recording after 16:27? How convenient.”
Elena's stomach dropped. She looked at Martha, who shook her head.
“I didn't stop it,” Martha whispered.
Selena smiled. “I had my own people tamper with the feed. The only copy that exists now is the one that shows you pushing the stroller.”
Elena felt the world tilt. Theo squirmed in her arms, and she tightened her grip.
“Why are you doing this?” she asked.
“Because I deserve that life,” Selena spat. “That mansion, that money, that child. And I'm not going to let a nanny take it from me.”
Suddenly, Marcus emerged from the study, his phone in hand, his face thunderous.
“Selena,” he said, his voice dangerously calm. “You have exactly one minute to leave this property before I have you arrested for trespassing.”
Selena smirked. “You can't touch me, Marcus. I have evidence.”
Marcus held up his phone. “I just got off the phone with my security team. They found a second nanny-cam — one you didn't know about. It's a backup system I installed last month.”
Selena's smirk faltered.
“It recorded everything,” Marcus continued. “Including your little chat with Elena just now. And your tampering with the original feed.”
He pressed play. Selena's voice echoed through the atrium: “I had my own people tamper with the feed…”
Selena's face went white. She took a step back, but the guards were already moving.
“No!” she screamed. “You can't do this!”
But they could. They did. As they dragged her away, her eyes locked on Elena with pure hatred.
“This isn't over!” she shrieked.
But it was. With the second recording, her bail was revoked, and the charges were upgraded to attempted murder.
That night, as the sun set over the Zurich skyline, Marcus found Elena on the terrace, Theo asleep in a bassinet beside her.
“I'm sorry you had to go through that,” he said softly.
Elena shook her head. “I'd do it again. For Theo.”
Marcus sat beside her, his eyes searching hers. “I meant what I said earlier. I want you to be part of this family — not just as a nanny.”
Elena's heart fluttered. “What do you mean?”
He took her hand. “I'm asking you to stay. To be there for Theo. And maybe, in time, for me too.”
Tears welled in Elena's eyes. She looked at Theo, sleeping peacefully, and felt a warmth spread through her chest.
“I'd like that,” she whispered.
As the stars emerged, Elena knew she had found her family — not through blood, but through love and sacrifice.
