Previously: When nurse Rachel disrupted a solemn funeral with an axe, the mourners thought she was madβ€”until a pale hand reached out from the casket.

A Chilling Discovery

The chapel erupted into absolute chaos. Several male mourners rushed forward, helping Rachel pry the rest of the broken casket lid apart. Inside, Eleanor lay shivering, her eyes fluttering open as she struggled to breathe the fresh air. She was incredibly weak, her skin a ghostly white, but she was undeniably alive. Rachel immediately leaned over her, checking her pulse and wiping the sweat from her forehead, whispering words of comfort.

While the crowd gasped in disbelief and someone urgently dialed 911, Michael did not rush to his wife's side. Instead, he stood frozen, his eyes darting toward the exit. His hands trembled violently inside his pockets. Rachel, noticing his reaction, pointed a finger directly at him.

"Don't let him leave!" Rachel shouted to the crowd. "He did this to her!"

The mourners looked between the nurse and the husband in utter confusion. Michael tried to regain his composure, stepping back and shaking his head. "This is ridiculous," he stammered, his voice trembling. "She was declared dead by the hospice physician. This nurse is delusional!"

But Rachel was prepared. She pulled a small plastic bag from her apron pocket, containing three empty vials of a highly potent, experimental clinical sedative. Rachel had found them hidden in the bottom of Michael's study trash bin just an hour after Eleanor was falsely pronounced dead. As a specialized nurse, Rachel knew this specific drug could slow a patient's heart rate and respiration to a level virtually undetectable by standard hospice equipment, mimicking death perfectly for several hours.

"You poisoned her, Michael," Rachel declared, her voice steady and fierce. "You knew she would wake up underground. You wanted her estate, and you wanted to make sure she could never tell anyone what you did."
